August 15, 1947 gave Bharat political freedom. But freedom carries a responsibility – to know our history, understand our civilization & culture, preserve our knowledge traditions and pass them on to the next generation.
In this Independence Day message, Aarsha Vidya Samajam reflects on Bharat’s long civilizational and cultural journey, the importance of intellectual independence and the need to study and understand Bharatiya Samskriti and Sanatana Dharma from authentic sources.
AVS presents education, practice, promotion, teaching and protection as the five core responsibilities towards Sanatana Dharma – Adhyayana, Anushthana, Prachaarana, Adhyapana and Samrakshana.
This Independence Day, let us remember the sacrifices that gave us political freedom – and take responsibility for preserving the knowledge, civilization and culture we inherited.
