February 14th – The Pulwama Remembrance Day

On February 14, 2019, India witnessed one of the darkest days in its history. A suicide terrorist attack took place in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir, against the vehicles transporting the security personnels. This attack had claimed the lives of 40 brave CRPF jawans. The attack was carried out by the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed who themselves claimed it’s responsibility.

Following this terrorist attack, India had responded with a strong military action. The Indian Air Force conducted airstrikes on terrorist training camps in Balakot on 26th February 2019.
These camps were operated by the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Hence, this became significant that for the first time, India crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and carried out a precise military operation inside Pakistani territory. More than 250 terrorists were eliminated in the strike, stated India.

To give the strong message of completely eradicating the foundation of terrorism, and that we would not remain in silence against both the terrorists and terrorism was the aim of Hindustan behind her strong counter-attack.

Bharat described it action as a “pre-emptive strike” against terrorism.

February 14: A Black Day for the Nation…

Goodness exists at the core of every human being. Hence what we must seriously reflect upon is what is the motivation for such mindsets, that turns ordinary people into ruthless extremists and terrorists. Any ideology that transforms good people into cruel individuals cannot come from God. Because God is himself the embodiment of love, supreme goodness, and infinite compassion.

If we fail to recognize and address such “sacred” ideas, calls, deceptions, and religious wars that come disguised in the name of God and religion, then no matter how many prisons we build, how long we imprison terrorists, or even hang and execute them, we won’t reach atleast close to its real solution. Therefore, military strength is necessary for national security – but alongside it, we must also fight the battle of ideologies. Only then can we defeat terrorism at its roots.

“Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah”
“Dharma protects those who protect it.”
Heartfelt tributes and hundreds of respectful salutations to the brave sons of Mother India who attained martyrdom in Pulwama.
Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
With respect and remembrance,
