He had the rare fortune of receiving the blessings, deeksha, and spiritual guidance of the Avadhoota Mahasiddha, Shri Shankara Gurudev Ji from a young age itself. In addition, he also had the opportunity to study the mysterious vidyas of Sanatana Dharma and Kriya Yoga through Shri Nikhileshwarananda Paramahamsa Ji and the Kriya Yoga Parampara of Mahavatar Babaji (Paramahamsa Yogananda Ji). He has also been associated with Yoga Vidya courses from various institutions.
Recognizing the challenges and possibilities of the modern age, and inorder to carry out these five great duties – (Pancha Maha Karthavyas)in a scientific and systematic manner, Aarsha Vidya Samajam (AVS) was established on 8 July 1999 by Sadgurudev Acharyasri Manoj Ji Maharaj. It is a spiritual, philosophical, educational, cultural, and renaissance movement dedicated to fulfilling this great mission entrusted by Sri Parameshwara and the Aarsha Guru Paramparas – “Krinvantho Vishwamaryam” (make humanity and the world noble).
AVS aims to fulfill this mission in two ways: Bhavatmakam and Samrakshanatmakam.
To simplify – the activities of Aarsha Vidya Samajam function on three levels.
Honours and Recognitions
Acharyashree K. R. Manoj Ji Maharaj has been honoured with numerous prestigious awards and recognitions for his exceptional contributions in the fields of Dharma, social guidance, spiritual education, and cultural awakening.
These include the ‘Karma Ratna Award – 2019’ instituted by the Spiritual Assembly of the Hindu Parliament; the national honour ‘Maharshi Aurobindo Samman – 2023’ presented by the Eternal Hindu Foundation; the ‘Samoohashree Award – 2024’ presented during the ‘Samskara Athmeeya Sammelana’ organized under the guidance of Chinmaya Mission; the ‘Madhavji Award – 2024’ instituted by the Kerala Kshetra Samrakshana Samiti; the ‘Swami Mridananda Memorial Spiritual Award – 2024’; the ‘Sree Chattampi Swami – Sree Narayana Guru Pradhama Sangama Smrithi’; the ‘Akshaya Hindu Puraskar – 2024’ instituted by the Akshaya Hindu Puraskar Organising Committee, Maharashtra; the ‘Gurushreshta Award – 2024’; the ‘Sree Vellakkattu Gopalakurup Keerthi Puraskaram – 2025’; the national honour ‘Shri Dattopant Thengadi Seva Samman – 2025’ instituted by the Dr. Mangalam Swaminathan Foundation; the international recognition ‘Veer Savarkar International Impact Award – 2025’ instituted by HRDS INDIA; the Sukrutham Bhagavata Puraskaram – 2025; and the 8th Thaliyadichapurathappan Puraskaram – 2026 instituted by the Thaliyadichapurathappan Branch Committee functioning under the Kerala Kshetra Samrakshana Samiti.
In recognition of his remarkable service to Dharma and society, Aacharyaji was specially honoured at the World Hindu Congress held in Bangkok in November 2023, as well as at the 10th Uthradam Thirunal Memorial Conference organized by the Uthradam Thirunal Institute of Culture in 2023.
Acharyaji is also the author of the book “Bharatha Prabhavam.”
Undeterred by the self-destructive indifference of a Hindu society often unaware of the dangers surrounding it; unaffected by honour or insult, criticism or praise; without seeking appreciation, sympathy, or recognition; and unshaken even by the gravest challenges raised against his own life — heartfelt birthday wishes to the Karma Yogi who continues his courageous mission fighting against the Anti – Sanatana Dharma forces.
On this auspicious day, we solemnly pledge that we the disciples with remain devoted and committed to the fulfilment of your sacred mission until our very last breath. Kindly accept this as our Gurudakshina.
